A Day At The Park

Jaya Lee playing in the water with grandma.
Jaya with all of the kids surrounding her,
They all wanted a turn pushing her.

Miah in concentration mode.
Climbing on the big toys what a big girl!
Miah makes new friends wherever we go!

We took the girls to this park that has a huge play area and these little water spouts that shoot up water. It was so fun to watch Miah she just make friends wherever we go. And Jaya too it is like kids are just drawn to her, she just loves the attention. A lot of the kids there were asking about her eye and asking why her eyes were the way they were it made my heart sad. I fear that as she gets older if kids make comment or ask questions like that, that it will hurt her. She has such and amazing spirit and joy about her I don't ever want to see it get broken. We have so much fun at the park the girls are so much fun to watch the way they take in everything around them and to see Jaya try and explore new things. I was a little camera happy but was able to get some really great pictures and video of them.

Afternoon At The Barn

He was happy to be out playing!

Look at that face she loves him!

After Jaya's dr appointment we went with Tali to go out and check on Her horsey Hesed. Who also had surgery last week to remove an abscess in his sinus cavity. He was quite the little or big trooper. Jaya just loved him I was surprise she isn't always sure about animals. She sure didn't mind horsey. It was a nice way to end a stressful morning. Thanks Tali.

One Week Post Op

Jaya had her first post op appointment today. I was hoping that everything would be good and the doctor would be pleased. The doctor thinks that the condition was over corrected and if after the swelling and bruising goes down the eyes aren't centered Jaya will need to go in for a second surgery. This was discouraging I hope that we made the right decision by trying to correct this problem for her. We will be praying for god's hand to supernaturally correct the straightness of her eyes without going back in for surgery. Please be praying with us.

Sunday at Grandma and Poppa's

I just love them!

Look at that smile it's the best! Awww...... what a cutie!

We had a nice evening and turkey dinner . We were able to spend some time with grandma and poppa. The girls just love it over there. There's so much to do and they don't get in trouble for anything, I guess that's what grandma's and poppa's are for.

Jaya's Cool Sunglasses

I just love this she was actually keeping them on. Her eyes are pretty sensitive to light right now, so she didn't mind keeping them on.

Comments

I went ahead and changed the settings so that anyone who wants to comment and doesn't have an account will be able to I hope this make it more convenient for everyone

The Morning After

I think that my emotions are going kind of crazy. Last night I woke up with Miah at 2 am until around 4 or 5. She was complaining of a stomache ache and had a really high fever, I thinks she has a bug so we are trying to keep the two girls apart so Jaya doesn't have to deal with that too. I am still worried about the healing process for Jaya Her right eye looks worse to me today than it did yesterday so that made me nervous. I called the clinic to talk to one of the nurses. I sent her a few pictures from today to see what they thought. It looked to me like the bloody area was covering part of the iris, after I called I really took a close look and you can still see a white line between the red and blue so I think my call was a little premature. I suppose us moms are kind of that way. I think she is fine and I need to just calm down and quit worrying so much. She is running around the house bouncy and joyful. We praise god for that.

OUCH!

Here are some of the photo's after we got home. The doctor says not to look at them. That they will be looking a lot better in a few days.

Jaya's Big Surgery

This is a good picture to bad it's a little cut off.

We had the nurse try this time.

She really liked this nurse and her princess wand.

Well today was totally nerve wracking for a mother. Thank god for Jeremy and the peace he carries with him. It was a good day. The staff at Childrens Hospital was amazing from start to finish each person that was going to be helping to care for Jaya came in and personally introduced themselves to us and spent a few minutes telling us what their roles would be, this made us confident and more comfortable. Jaya got a little cranky just before surgery, (I think it was because she hadn't eaten anything for almost twenty hours prior), but they gave her a little muscle relaxer cocktail. She was pretty silly, she would pick up her head and just let it fall back in my arm. She would do the same with her limbs it was really funny. Then the anesthesiologist came to take her to the O R and put her under and give her the IV. Thats when the waiting began. The surgeon said the procedure would take about an hour, being the mother that I am at one hour and eight minutes I began to feel nervous and sick to my stomache. We checked with the nurse and everything was going well, but she was still in the operating room. To hear that she was doing well calmed me down for a little while. She finally came out of surgery one hour and fifty minutes later, but we couldn't see her until she woke up which was another hour and 20 minutes (It felt like forever). The doctor said that everything went really well. And he was very pleased to see how well her corneas were looking. He also said that we made the right decision opting out of the transplant when she was younger. We have a follow appointment next week. I am so grateful to have her back in my arms, now we are praying for a speedy recovery. Her eyes appear very painful and bloody, She has been a real trooper. She is slightly fussy but doing very well, still very tired. We thank everyone who has been praying for her and for us. We knew that god was there with us.
